Władysław Hasior (1928-1999) - studied at the Department of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1957-68 he worked as a teacher at the Kenar School in Zakopane, and in 1970-71 he worked as a stage designer at the Polish Theater in Wroclaw and as a teacher at the local Academy of Fine Arts. He is known primarily as a creator of monumental sculptures and ephemeral actions combined with their realization - Sunny Chariot, Flaming Birds, Fiery Birds, Burning Banners. In parallel with the Banners and monumental realizations, he created intimate sculptures. In the 1980s and 1990s, he created Portraits in assemblage and collage techniques. He created assemblages since 1957. He represented Poland at the Sao Paulo Biennale in 1965 and 1971, the Venice Biennale (1970) and many other prestigious international exhibitions.
