Barbra Streisand (born 1942), American singer, songwriter, actress, director, screenwriter and film producer. One of the most successful singers in the history of modern popular music, both in terms of record sales and critical acclaim. In 1976 she co-starred with Kris Kristofferson in the film "Birth of a Star," honored with an Oscar statuette and five Golden Globes.
