On the back handwritten in pencil: "Turkish woman St. Sheybal". Underlay rubbed, photo less so, nevertheless overall good condition.
S. Sheybal (1891-1976) - painter - graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, photographer - learned his profession from his uncle Jozef Sebald in Cracow. A member of Fotoklub Polski since 1931. In Krzemieniec he ran a photographic studio at the Krzemieniec High School and the Photographic Society, where he taught photography independently. He created photographs of landscapes, portraits, genre scenes in various techniques, including bromine, although his favorite was multicolor gum. He successfully participated in many national and international exhibitions.
