Adam Stefan Sapieha (1867-1951) - Polish Roman Catholic clergyman, diocesan bishop of Cracow from 1911 to 1951 (metropolitan archbishop from 1926), cardinal presbyter from 1946, senator of the first term in the Second Polish Republic from 1922 to 1923. Knight of the Order of the White Eagle, statesman, considered by historians as one of the leading figures in the history of the Polish Church in the first half of the 20th century. Called the Prince of the Unbroken.
