Wladyslaw Anders (1892 - 1970) - Polish military officer and politician, Major General of the Polish Armed Forces, commander of the Polish Army in the USSR and the 2nd Polish Corps. Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Armed Forces, successor to the President of the Republic of Poland in exile from 1950 to 1954, in 1954 appointed by the authorities in exile as Lieutenant General.
