Maciej Baranowski (1937-2008). Mountaineer, mountaineer, alpine skier, passionate photographer. In 1961 he was a participant in an expedition to the Caucasus mountains, he traversed the difficult wall of the Ułtuhara peak - 4302 meters above sea level. In 1962 he took part in a Polish expedition to the Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan. He reached the summit of Koh e Tez (6995 m). In later years, he climbed in the Tatra Mountains and the Alps, practiced high-altitude skiing in the Tatras, as well as in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
