Adam Karaś "(born November 19, 1896, died October 21, 1986 in Kraków) - photographer, filmmaker, unconventional creator of surprising objects and intriguing photo-texts - was a unique and multidimensional figure. His life could unfold like the American dream. He lacked neither powerful drive, skills nor talents to succeed in life. However, it happened differently. Karas did not have a spectacular career, instead he built his original and, for many, fascinating world. He tried everything from reportage photography and film production to cinematography and advertising projects. Unfortunately, not all of the photographs and films from the years of his youth and intense creative collaboration with his brother Victor survived. Eventually, his main source of income and field of non-obvious creativity became a photographic portrait studio, whose sole and unquestionable demiurge was Adam Karas."
