S. Kolowca (1904-1968) - art lover, architecture expert and prominent documentary photographer. Student of A. Pawlikowski, graduate of the graphic school in Vienna. Since 1945 documentary photographer of the Central Photographic Agency. Since 1949 head of the photographic studio at the Municipal Industrial and Technical Museum and the State Art Collections in Wawel. Since 1949 a member of ZPAF. Collaborated with Stanislaw Mucha. Owner of a photographic studio on Loretanska Street in Cracow. He gave his documentary photographs outstanding artistic qualities. The artist's works are among the classics of photography both in terms of quality and documentary value. His photographic documentation covers the collections of all major museums in Poland.
