Baildon Steelworks - ironworks, located in Katowice, in the area of two districts: Dąb and Załęże. It was founded in 1823 by a Scottish engineer - John Baildon as a puddling plant, and after expansion it became one of the most modern ironworks in Europe. During World War II it produced for armaments purposes. After 1945, it underwent further development, launching new and expanding old departments. It has been in bankruptcy since 2001. (Wikipedia).
J. Podlecki (1933-2015) - sociologist and Cracow photographer, whose works were characterized by naturalness and attention to proper composition of the frame, specialized in the subject of sightseeing. For many years he was a photojournalist for the "Polish Daily". He was the creator of sightseeing albums, including "Cracow", "Wieliczka", "Wieliczka - historic salt mine", "Beautiful and fairy-tale Cracow", "Wieliczka temples and chapels", "Franciscan shrines", "Wawel - castle and cathedral", "Jagiellonian University", "Collegium Maius of Jagiellonian University", "Cracow past and present", "Miniatures from the codex of Baltazar Behem".
