Igor Savchenko was born in 1962 in Minsk, Belarus.
1980 - 1985Studied cybernetics and automatic control systems at the Minsk Institute of Radio Engineering (now the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics), graduating with honors
1980 - 1985Diving courses at the DOSAAF naval school in Minsk with Valery Burtsev.
1985-1991 Worked as an engineer
1988-89Contacts with Valeria Lobko Creative Photography Studio, Minsk.
1989 Started working with photography
1990 Kodak-Pathe Award at the International Salon of Photography in Royan, France.
1991 First solo exhibition. Galleri Index/Fotograficentrum. Stockholm
1991 Professional artist (photography)
1994 Begins writing texts and prose in 1998
1997 Declares refusal to create new photographic works
1998 Begins working in mixed technique
2002 First case of theft of his works from an exhibition, Museum of Contemporary Fine Arts in Minsk
2003 Resumes diving classes at "Sea Pegasus" club with Andrei Likhachev, Minsk
2004 Obtaining Adv Tx TDI certification from Andrey Chistyakov and taking a master class with him on deep trimix and diving with him to a depth of 192 meters. Blue Hole, Dahab, South Sinai, Egypt 2005
2006 fall Return to photography
