[GÓRSKI Waclaw - portrait photograph]. [not before 1869, not after 1877]. Photograph form. 13.3x9.8 cm on original backing form.16.3x10.8 cm, taken in J[an] Manteuffel's atelier in Riga.
Portrait shot in bust, in oval. On the lower margin of the backing print: "J. Manteuffel Riga". Photo pasted on original cardboard backing with red border. On the back, identifying inscriptions in ink and pencil: "Waclaw Gorski", "1851-1885 born and died in Riga. Son of Napoleon and Irena Gorski h. Nałęcz". Good condition.
J. Manteuffel - photographer of Polish origin, baron. He started his business in 1869 in Riga, where he built a special photo pavilion at 2 Alexander Boulevard, in Krüger's house (now Sakta building, Brīvības bulvāris 32). It operated there until 1877.
