The general is shown in half pose, in profile, seated in a padded armchair. Dressed in uniform, saber at his side. In the lower margin under the photo a handwritten dedication in ink: "Souvenir of the good times of the Lithuanian-Byelorussian front 1919-1920 Szeptycki". Frontispiece of the photo slightly scratched, on the back of the backing traces of peeling from the album, overall good condition.
S. Szeptycki (1867-1950) - Major General of the Imperial and Royal Army, Lieutenant General of the Polish Army. From VII 1916 to X 1916 commander of the Third Brigade of the Polish Legions, from IV 1917 commander of the entire Legions. From X 1918 commander of the Polnische Wehrmacht subordinate to the German command. In the 1920 war, commander of the Northeastern Front and the 4th Army. Deposed due to disagreements with Jozef Pilsudski. After the May Coup of 1926 retired. Between 1946 and 1950, chairman of the board of the Polish Red Cross.
