The Great Armory (German: Das Große Zeughaus), a monument in Danzig, also called the arsenal, is the most magnificent secular Mannerist building in the city. It was inspired by the Meat Halls in Haarlem. The armory was built between 1602 and 1605, and is the work of one of the most prominent Danzig architects of the era, Antoni van Obberghen. It was built of fine red Dutch brick decorated with sandstone decorations and rich gilding. The structure gives the impression that the building is composed of four, seemingly separate townhouses.
