Biography
Damian Reniszyn was born in 1989 in Jelenia Gora, currently lives and works in Poznan and Warsaw. In addition to sculptural realizations, the artist works with photography, creating installations, video using new technologies. In 2014, he won a distinguished diploma from the Department of Sculpture and Spatial Activities at the University of Arts in Poznan. He is a doctoral student at his alma mater in the Department of Multimedia Communication, and has also toiled as a teacher, teaching at the School of Form in Poznań. In 2017, he won the main prize in the second edition of the scholarship program implemented by YES and the Made in Art foundation. In his work, he often draws inspiration from literature and philosophical thought, combining them with an exploration of the possibilities of new technologies. His work is also a form of searching for unconventional ways of art perception, especially through the sense of touch.
