Bologoye - a town located in western Russia on the territory of Tver Oblast, the administrative center of Bologoye District, 164 km northwest of Tver. The first mention of the town dates back to 1495 and is accepted as the date of its founding. The name was adopted from the neighboring lake of the same name, and means blissful. In 1851, a railroad station was built here on the Moscow-Sankt Petersburg line, and later a second railroad line, Rybinsk-Pskov-Vindava, was brought here. The development of the village, mainly related to the railroad, began and in 1926 Bologoye became a city. (Wikipedia).
