The mound dedicated to the memory of aviators Franciszek Zwirka and Stanislaw Wigura was raised immediately after the plane crash in 1932,in which both died flying to Prague,by teachers and students of the Minor Seminary and Male Gymnasium in Sejny. The mound located in the gardens of the Podominikański Monastery in Sejny survived until the 1970s. Currently, it has been newly mounded.
