Gelatin-silver print, vintage, dimensions 12.7x17.8 cm.
Photo by a pre-war master photographer, a document of the old pictorial photographic poetics, and at the same time of the emerging design after the war, for the production of which often excellent artists were employed.
An advertising photograph of Ducat cigarettes from around 1950, with a gold ducat embossed on the box and, later, colored triangles. Even earlier, they were sold in a red-colored cardboard box with the yellow inscription "Ducat" and the signature of the Wroclaw Cigarette Factory. As an additional note, here is a box of matches with a sticker saying "We are entering the 6-year plan", (1950-55), which in the People's Republic of Poland was called "the plan for building socialism".
