Born in 1986, he comes from Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. In 2010, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in the studio of Prof. Jacek Waltos. His diploma, titled. "Death and Desire" was dedicated to the motif of St. Sebastian in culture. His first individual exhibition was "Winter Tale" (2011) at the Zderzak gallery in Cracow, the paintings on display featured palace interiors, winter landscapes and portraits of film stars, maintained in the artist's favorite climate of romanticism and decadence. His second solo exhibition, "Composition of paintings" (2013, Zderzak Gallery), was also held in a similar vein. The exhibition was accompanied by a catalog published by Zderzak Gallery. In 2013, Stokłosa received the Marshal's Award of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, awarded in the Geppert Competition. In 2014, Stokłosa's paintings were included in an album by Kurt Beers, "100 Painters of Tomorrow," published by Thames&Hudson, London-New York, presenting a selection of the most promising contemporary male and female painters. In 2015, Lukasz Stokłosa's works were presented at the exhibition "Artists from Krakow, generation 80-90″ at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow - MOCAK. He practices representational, figurative painting. He usually draws inspiration from mass culture, movies and TV series. He feels well in the aesthetics of camp. Stokłosa's paintings are sensual and intelligent, they attract and repel, they have their second and third bottoms, just like film noir.
