Biography
Krystyna Cękalska studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the painting department under Prof. Pękalski, which were interrupted by the outbreak of World War II. After 1945, she continued her education by working with Warsaw artists. It was then that she co-founded the first post-war artistic "WARSZAWA", which took care of the revival of visual arts in the new realities by organizing exhibitions. Cękalska's art, close to the traditions of colorism, operating with pure, saturated colors, was inspired by everyday life and the artist's rich imagination. Cękalska's works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad and are now part of the collections of many muse and private collections.
