Biography
Between 1908 and 1915, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with Jozef Mehoffer and Konstanty Laszczka, among others, and in 1918 also with Teodor Axentowicz. Before World War II, he worked as a theater decorator at Krakow's Bagatela Theater. He designed sets for operas by Stanislaw Moniuszko and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. He was a member of the Circle Group of Polish Artists. He participated in exhibitions of the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in the years: 1907, 1910, 1912, 1929-31, TPSP in Lvov, Lodz and Poznan. He painted landscapes, views of Cracow, genre scenes, still lifes and flowers. His works are in the collections of the Historical Museum of the City of Cracow, the National Museum in Cracow and in numerous private collections.
