Biography
He was a student of S. Lentz and T. Pruszkowski at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. He continued his painting studies at the academy in Vienna and Paris. Since 1926 he alternated between France, England and the USA. In his early works he was quite traditional, in his later period he referred to contemporary French painting. He painted moody, lyrical genre scenes, nudes, flowers, intimate compositions in interiors, and sketchy studies of women and children.
