Biography
Jan Waclaw Zawadowski studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts under J. Pankiewicz. In the 1930s he moved to France and lived in Orcel, Provence. His work was heavily influenced by the art of P. Cezanne. At first he painted pictures in muted, cool colors. He was one of the initiators of the Cercle des Artistes Polonais group.
