Between 1891 and 1900 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with F. Cynk, I. Jablonski, I. Unierzyski, L. Wyczółkowski, J. Stanislawski, and in 1901-1902 in Paris. Since 1919 he taught painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Since 1906 he was a member of the Society of Polish Artists Art. He was also a member of the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He painted landscapes and was a continuator of Jan Stanislawski's school of landscape painting.
