Expressionist painter. Born in Bielsko, he was initially active in Prague and from 1914 in Berlin. Studied in Vienna and Paris, where he came into contact with Matiss. He traveled in Provence, Italy, Egypt; in 1921 he stayed in Sicily. Three of his paintings were exhibited posthumously at the Great Art Exhibition in Berlin in 1927. He painted mainly portraits, landscapes.
