Hofman was masterful at combining fantasy with realism. Fauns, angels, ancient motifs, nature, plus the poetic and metaphorical dimension of Hofman's works, make up the artist's unique, easily recognizable style. Suggestive compositions, steeped in meaning, encourage reflection. At the same time, the elaborate forms of meaning create peculiar narratives - painterly tales from the borderline between the spheres of the sacred and the profane.
