Biography
Son of painter Władysław Szerner. He began his studies in 1888 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, simultaneously studying agronomy at the local Polytechnic. After returning to Poland, he exhibited his works at exhibitions in the Krakow and Lviv Societies of Friends of Fine Arts, as well as at Warsaw's Zachęta Gallery. In his paintings, he most often took up the theme of historical genre scenes, often referring to the life of the Hutsuls or the history of the 17th century Republic.
