Biography
Studied at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow (though not noted in the ASP materials), then went to Munich, where he enrolled at the Academy there. He attended the drawing class of Johann Caspar Herterich. After graduating, he became a member of the Munich Kunstverein. From Munich he traveled several times to Italy and Paris. He spent the years of World War I in Russia. Upon his return, he settled permanently in Sosnówka near Wolomin, from where he commuted to his studio in Warsaw. From 1921 he was a member of the Warsaw Art Society and taught painting at the Wojciech Gerson School of Fine Arts. He was one of the founders of the "12" group. He made his debut in 1904 at TPSP in Cracow. He showed a collection of his works in 1907 and 1920, 1925 at the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Warsaw, in 1907 and in 1910 at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Krakow. He also participated in exhibitions at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Lvov in 1905, 1910 and 1916 and in Minsk. He painted mainly landscapes, portraits, still lifes and flowers.
