Painter, pupil of W. Gerson in 1880-1881 and of the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts (1881-1889) in the studio of Leopold Loeffler, Jan Matejko and Władysław Łuszczkiewicz. He supplemented his studies at the Munich academy. In 1892 he returned to Poland and settled in Swoszowice near Kraków. In 1896-1916 he taught painting at the Baraniecki Higher Courses for Women. The subjects of his works were usually spontaneously and humorously painted scenes related to the folklore of a village near Krakow, allegorical compositions and portraits.
