Stanislaw Szygell (Ruzki 1881 - 1941) studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, from which he graduated in 1909. He exhibited, among others, at the Warsaw Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, where his individual exhibition was held in 1917. In 1924 he participated in the exhibition of Group IV together with Stanisław Podgórski, Ludwik Machalski and Marian Puffke.
