Graduate of the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied under Jozef Pankiewicz and Teodor Axentowicz. It was Axentowicz who exerted a special and lasting influence on his work, evident in his decorative lines, bright, subdued color range, and precise capture of the character traits of his models. He was primarily a portraitist, especially of Podhale Highlanders and beautiful Highland women in traditional costumes - Study of a Highland Woman is in the collection of the National Museum in Warsaw, but he also painted genre scenes and Tatra landscapes. Most often he used pastels, although he sometimes created in oil and watercolor. He exhibited in many Polish cities: Krakow, Poznan, Piotrkow, Kalisz and Warsaw. Unfortunately, during a fire in 1944, almost all of the artist's work was destroyed, so the works available on the market are few and mainly from the late 1940s and early 1950s.
