Biography
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, in 1909-14 with Jozef Pankiewicz, and in 1916-17 with Teodor Axentowicz. He exhibited at TZSP in Warsaw, among other places. He painted genre scenes, portraits, landscapes and portrait studies of highlanders. After graduating from the Industrial School in Cracow (1908), he studied at the local Academy of Fine Arts under Jozef Pankiewicz (1909-14) and Teodor Axentowicz (1916-17). He exhibited in Krakow, including in 1926 at the Independent Exhibition and in Warsaw's Zachęta, also in Poznan, Piotrkow and Kalisz. His favorite subjects were Tatra motifs - landscapes, highlanders and highland women in traditional costumes.
