The offered work is one of the artist's popular sea views. For nearly seventeen years, Jaxa-Malachowski has been vacationing by the central Baltic Sea, hence paintings of this subject matter naturally became the leitmotif of his works. However, they are certainly not mass, schematic compositions. What shines through is the artist's unique sensitivity to color and light and the subtle guiding of the painterly line that is so characteristic of him.
