Painter, educator. "During World War II, he fought in the Union of Armed Struggle and was a major in the intelligence of the Home Army. For this activity in 1946 he was sentenced by a military court to death, which was later commuted to 10 years in prison in Wronki. Released and rehabilitated in 1956, he later became an assistant professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, and an associate professor in 1963.
