Robert Schultze (Magdeburg 1828 - Munich 1910) - German landscape painter; began his painting studies in 1845 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden (1845), continued them in Düsseldorf - at the Academy there (1847) and with J.W. Schirmer. Later he settled permanently in Munich, from where he frequently and eagerly embarked on study trips, painting alpine landscapes - from Bavaria, Switzerland, northern Italy, as well as views from the Norwegian fjords. Beginning in 1886, he repeatedly showed his paintings at Academy exhibitions in Berlin, and also exhibited in Dresden, Hannover and London. The artist's paintings are in the collections of museums in Altenburg and Zurich, among others.
