Robert Mcgown Coventry was born in 1855 in Scotland. He belongs to the artists of the so-called Glasgow School. It is also known that he was a member of the Academy (A.R.S.A - Associate of Royal Scottish Academy) and the Scottish Society of Watercolorists (R.S.W. - Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolor). He died in 1942.
