Biography
From 1877 to 1883 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with J. Matejko and from 1883 to 1885 at the Academy in Munich with O. Seitz. He traveled to Italy, Palestine. He was president of TPSP in Cracow for many years. The subjects of his works were genre scenes, religious scenes and portraits of young girls. His some paintings are sometimes characterized by touches of realism. He also worked as an illustrator for "Trilogy" and "Quo vadis" by Sienkiewicz, among others. He used oil and pastel techniques.
