Painter, associated with the Silesian artistic community. Educated at the Drawing School of the Imperial Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, continued his studies at the St. Petersburg Academy (1916-1918). In 1921 he lived in Warsaw, then in Gdansk, and from 1926 in Katowice. He was a member of the Association of Silesian Artists. He spent the occupation outside Silesia and returned to Katowice after the war. He had solo exhibitions in Katowice, Warsaw, Cracow and Radom. He was most fond of the Silesian industrial landscape, painting large factories, steel mills and mines, but also genre scenes from the Silesian countryside, and repeatedly portrayed its inhabitants.
