Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studio of Wojciech Weiss. He also studied with Wojciech and Jerzy Kossak. He created mainly landscapes and battle scenes. The themes that the artist often took up in his work were: uhlans, a Krakow wedding, escape from wolves and hunting. His works are characterized by painterliness and vivid colors.
