Biography
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with Wojciech Weiss among others. He was active in the circle of the studio of Wojciech and Jerzy Kossak in the Kossakówka in Cracow. The influence of this painterly family is exceedingly evident in his work. While making underpaintings and working on their projects, he became skilled at painting horses and battle scenes. He created compositions showing the beauty of the Polish landscape, related to the culture of the region and local traditions. In the postwar period, he was mainly active in Cracow and was associated with the Society of Friends of Fine Arts there.
