Marian Puffke (Kalisz 1887 - Warsaw 1925) began his studies in painting at the Warsaw Drawing School under M. Kotarbiński and K. Krzyżanowski, and continued at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts under T. Axentowicz and J. Pankiewicz. He also studied painting in Vienna and Florence. After finishing his studies, he settled in Warsaw. From 1910, he exhibited at the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Here he also had several of his solo exhibitions. In 1923, he had a solo exhibition at the Poznań Society of Friends of Fine Arts.
