Biography
Studied in Odessa and in Moscow at the Higher Artistic Scientific and Technical Studio under Vassily Kandinsky. Since 1922, he lived in Poland. He was a member of the Rhythm Artists' Association and the Start grouping. He exhibited many times in the country and took part in the presentation of Polish art abroad. Today, he is primarily known for his perfect landscapes, idyllic Polish views painted in the convention of colorism, as well as still lifes. After World War II, he created a series of Warsaw landscapes showing the destruction of the capital, entitled "Here Were People."
