Kazimierz BORZYM
1884 - 1968 Warsaw
Studied at the Gerson School of Drawing in Warsaw from 1904 to 1906, 1906 to 1910 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, and from 1910 to 1914 at the Simon Hollosy School in Munich. He was associated with the Pro Arte group and Zachêta. He painted portraits, still lifes and landscapes. Before World War II, he was a professor of painting and drawing at the Jan Zamoyski Male Gymnasium at 30 Smolna Street in Warsaw. After the war, he was counted among the traditionalists, portraitists and academic landscape painters who continued the interwar traditions under Socialist Realism.
