JULES CHARLES ROZIER [14.11.1821 Paris - 10.1882 Versailles].
Rozier became known mainly as a landscape painter and printmaker. He studied painting in the studios of Bertin and Delaroche. He painted primarily marine paintings and river landscapes, often in cold, silver-gray tones. He first appeared at the Salon in 1839 and from then on regularly exhibited his works, including views from the Seine and Normandy.
