Conservationist, painter. His ancestors came from England. In 1903-1907 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with Florian Cynk and Leoan Wyczółkowski. Head of the studio at the Museum of the Polish Army in Warsaw (1920-1932) and the National Museum (1932-1945). Since 1945 in the Supreme Directorate of Museums and Monuments Protection. Since 1949 professor at the Faculty of Conservation of the Academy of Fine Arts.
