GEORGES JEANNIN [1841 Paris - 10.12.1925] made his debut at the Salon in 1868 and from then on regularly exhibited his works there, winning numerous prizes in the 1880s. In 1903 he was made a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor. He became famous for his canvases depicting still lifes and flowers. From 1898 until his death in 1925, he chaired the Fine Arts section of the French Horticultural Society. His paintings are in museum exhibitions in Paris, Rouen and The Hague, among others.
