Signed and dated p. d.: "Jerzy Kossak 1923"

"In the mass of genre paintings, one can easily find those that attract the eye with dynamic movement, color and atmospheric landscapes, such as: (...) full of dynamics Krakow Weddings. (...) In this group of paintings, perhaps even more than in works with an elaborate composition, the qualities of landscape can be seen. Jerzy Kossak was not a bad landscape painter at all, his canvases had their own specific mood, pleasant to look at, pleasing to the eye, which is not always paid attention focused on the analysis of figures and their grouping."
K. Olszanski, Jerzy Kossak, Wroclaw [et al.] 1992, pp. 30-31
