Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, member of the Guild of Artists Jednoróg, operated with great talent in the use of color, including intense color juxtaposed in contrast. The tragically deceased artist exhibited his works in Paris, Cracow and Warsaw. He dealt with portrait subjects, landscapes, but also gained recognition through fresco painting (he learned this technique in Florence). He is the author of the frescoes and stained glass windows in the Presidential Chapel in Spala and stained glass windows for the cathedral in Lodz. In 1925 Jerzy Winiarz presented a design for frescoes for the Knights' Hall at Wawel Castle.
