Realist painter, draughtsman and educator. Initially studied at the Warsaw Drawing School of Wojciech Gerson. Then he went to St. Petersburg, where he studied from 1894-1897 at the Academy of Fine Arts. After returning to Poland, he settled permanently in Warsaw. In 1912 he became a member of the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, where he exhibited his paintings from 1901 to 1935. Between 1918 and 1936 he was a drawing teacher at the Stefan Batory Gymnasium in Warsaw. He painted portraits, genre scenes and landscapes. He also exhibited paintings in the Salon of Aleksander Krywult.
