From 1919 to 1921 he studied at the Academy of Art and Artistic Industry in Wroclaw with Otto Müller. From 1921, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with J. Mehoffer, I. Pienkowski and J. Pankiewicz. He was a co-founder of the Kapists. He had numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. He painted landscapes, still lifes, portraits and flowers.
