Biography
Studied at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow under Leopold Loeffler, Teodor Axentowicz, Jan Stanislawski and Leon Wyczółkowski in 1895-1898 (he was awarded a silver medal in late 1895 and early 1896). He completed his studies from 1903 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He exhibited in Vienna and Prague, and from 1897 at the Cracow TPSP. He was primarily engaged in portrait painting - he made, among others, portraits of S. Tyszkiewicz, Maria of Czetwertyńska Tarnowska, Waleria of Tarnowska Mycielska, Rosa Raczyńska, and 3 portraits of professors of Cracow: Feliks Kreutz (Geological Museum in Cracow), Władysław Kulczyński and Maksymilian Nowicki (Natural History Museum in Cracow). He also painted a portrait of the Spanish queen Maria Christina of Hamburg. He was a member of the Society of Lovers of the History and Monuments of Cracow.
